Eleemosynary Efforts

Eleemosynary: [adj] of or pertaining to alms, charity, or charitable donations; charitable.

I'm raising funds for charity this season. You may pledge directly on my behalf to The MS Society.

I volunteer with the City of Fridley's CERT program, a partnership with FEMA that recruits and trains citizens for volunteer emergency response and disaster preparedness.

I'm a Web app developer, SAG Communications and Route Safety Communications Coordinator for the MS SCRAM team.

I'm a Route Safety volunteer for the MN Ironman, the MS-60/30, MS-150 , MS-Tram and Red Ribbon Ride bike tours.

I once ran the CASA project - Community Assisted Sustainable Agriculture. Encouraging low-income families to use backyard gardens for food. Provides sustenance, increases curb appeal of properties and encourages personal development. Sadly, this project has withered due to lack of interest but if someone wants to help me revive this, it would be welcome.

Free firewall project - I build PC-based firewalls for public schools and non-profits. These are easily maintained, with provided training for the agency's IT staff. These are capable of supporting remote connections via VPN, locally hosted mail or web servers as well as keeping local workstations secure. Hardware not provided, but requires inexpensive PC hardware provided by the organization.

Attention agencies: Please see my list of volunteer equipment. If you think something in this list might be useful to your project, please let me know.
